Does anyone have any recomendations for Whitewater Rafting Tours in Laos. I've heard good things about the Nam Ngum river.

I would highly recommend Green Discovery. We took two tours with them, a two day trek and a one day kayak (with rapids) trip. I know they offer white water rafter, but we didn’t take that tour. They are an amazing tour group and they are very accommodating. We booked ahead of time via the Internet. They always answered our e-mails promptly. Once we were in Laos, we stopped in at a few other tour groups and their rates were about the same as the other places we checked out. Make sure your guide is certified if you choose to go with a different tour group. We heard horror stories from other tourist who went with other companies. All of the Green Discovery guides are internationally certified in first aid, CPR, and water rescue. Plus they have additional training from the Japanese who fly to Laos every 6 months. And they are an Eco-friendly group.
