I just noticed that Laos requires that you have six months left on your passport. I will have only five and one half when I plan to enter. Does anyone know if they hold strictly to this requirement?
No sure how strict, but Thailand and Vietnam also have that requirement, so even if you have no problem with Laos, you may do elsewhere. I'd suggest running it past the embassy.

Sorry, just a correction, Vietnam requires just three months validity.
