Heading out for my first trip to Asia in 3 days (!), planning on spending 6 weeks in Laos, Cambodia, and Thailand before I start school in malaysia. I'm planning to stop briefly in Vang Vieng, sounds like it would be fun for a few days, but I have what may be a silly sounding question....
What do people do with their possessions when they go tubing? I'm guessing it would be wise to take one's valuables along in a waterproof and secure daypack?
Like i said, kind of a silly question, but these things bother me at 1 in the morning!
Yup, a resealable plastic bag is the most common way to protect the goodies, another option is of course to leave them with the guesthouse -- but you won't really be able to make a judgement call on that one till you pick a place to stay.

Or, alternatively, is the tendency to leave most things in one's room or with the management?
