Hi,
I'm in Vang Vieng and thinking about kayaking down to Vientiane instead of the bus trip. However, reading a few blog entries, etc, I'm wondering if I should be concerned? What should I be looking for? The water levels aren't high, it's dry season so I don't expect any major rafts, but I've never kayaked, and as anything is relative in this part of the globe, "experienced" guide doesn't necessarily mean what I think.
Anyone have a recommendation on which company in town to use - or more importantly not!? Thinking about the more expensive Green Discovery, but figure it's a bit more reputable.

We're yet to receive a bad report about Green Discovery, so they're probably a good starting point, though not having done the trip myself I can't speak from experience.
