Hi all,
I'm going to go to Luang Prabang from Huay Xai in mid-June and I wonder if the monsoon is going to prevent the slowboats from travelling via this route?
Has that happened before?
Guess i am abit paranoid after watching news of the floods in Northern Thailand.

Generally speaking the boats only stop when there is not enough water. The boats should be running.

Thanks a lot, now i can put my heart at ease and focus on planning this trip.
Btw, the flood has affected provinces in Northern Thailand such as Uttaradit, Nan, Phrae, Lampang and Sukhothai..

Just wanted to say that if you haven't taken this boat before, make sure you take something comfortable to sit on,
2 days sat on a wooden plank/seat is difficult on your ass, and unfortunately Laotian pharmacists are not familar with the word "hemroid"
LOL
