im going to laos in a few days. im not sure how long im gonna stay there. does anybody know if i can use my maestro-bankcard at ATMs in laos. maestro.com doesnt give informations about laos.

As far as i have seen, only ATM's accepting creditcards in Laos. I'm using VISA and it's working well. I've found them from different banks in Vientiane, and only from BCEL in Luang Prabang. Also in the south they have ATM's in the big cities since last year. One warning, BCEL, is charging 20 000 Kip when you withdraw money from their ATM's. The machine from Joint Development Bank on the riverside in Vientiane, next to Bo Pen Nyang bar, is not.
