Vang Vieng to Chaing Mai

  • mille716

I know I'm doing this backwards but I'm in Luang Prabang right now and heading out to Vang Vieng tomorrow (decided I couldn't resist the tubing). My next stop is Chaing Mai, Thailand and am wondering if I can get there in a more direct route than retracing my steps back up to LP as time is an issue. Thanks for the response.

You can continue south to Vientiane, exit to Nong Khai and south again to Udon Thani from where there are buses to Chiang Mai. If you're in a hurry though, backtracking to LP and flying is the way to go.
