6 days in Laos

    I've allocated 6 days for Laos.

    4 definitely in Luang Prabang (including 2-day mahout experience)

    Is it better to:
    1 day Vientiane, 1 day Vang Vieng, 4 days LP
    (Is it too much to bus into VV in the morning, gab a tube down the river, and bus out again the next morning?)

    -or-

    Just do 5-6 days in LP, with activities out of there?
    (Perhaps even a night at Nog kiaow?)

    I'd lean towards Nong Kiaow over Vang Vieng. How are you getting to and from Luang Prabang? If you're flying in and out then Nong Kiaow makes sense, but if you're overlanding, then that will take you via Vang Vieng and Vientiane anyway..
