Does anyone know if any other airline apart from Lao fly from Luang Prabang to Chiang Mai? We are hoping to fly on Wednesday, 15 October but Lao Airline's website says they fly every other day except Wednesday. Just our luck!!!

Sorry B, but I think only Lao Airlines flies that route. No chance of going on a different day? For what it is worth, I've flown that route with Lao and they were pretty good.
I think Bangkok Airways (sometimes operating as Siem Reap Airways) flies the BKK to LP route, but doubt that helps you. They used to fly from Sukhothai to LP too but I don't think they do that route anymore.

Please see the answer to your question in the Cambodia section. My info is that Lao Airlines flys daily LP to CMX. Check for current status with Flight Centre or similar agent in Oz.
