As I heard and read, some travellers buy motos in vietnam and go all the way round in nam, laos and cambodia. I am thinking about doing the same in Laos.
Has anyone experiences with that kind of travelling?
Is there a possibility to buy a bike in Vientiane and resell it in Pakse? Or maybe to rent it?

You'd need to buy it as there's no rental pickup-drop off in different places (to my knowledge). Can't help on the legalities of buying in Laos unfortunately.
Another option would be to rent in hub towns and bus in between -- eg rent in Vientiane, Tha Khaek, Pakse and do loops from each.
