hi! we are in siem reap right now (24 july '06). the first day it rained hard for about 90 minutes right about 5 pm. the second day we only got about 5 minutes rain in the early afternoon. the third day (today), it hasn't rained at all as of 5 pm. i hope that info helps, but keep in mind that predicting the weather is like predicting stocks, in that past performance does not guarantee future returns. we've been in southeast asia since early june now, and the rains wherever we have been have followed the pattern you mention above of afternoon showers every other day or so. regards.

was thinking of popping up from bangkok for a few days, but was wondering about the weather. a couple of posters have complained.
is the weather like bangkok right now (afternoon shower every other day or so) or worse.
I don't mind a shower or two every day as long as it's nice in between. but if it will be raining all day long, then forget it.
also, what about siem reap? nice now, or too rainy?
thanks
