taking Thai motorbike to laos, possible?

    Can anybody help.
    The missus and I are going to southern Laos in November.We both are UK passport holders but she is originally from Isan and still has her Thai ID card.We'd like to borrow a motorbike from relatives in Ubon and take it into Laos.Is this possible and do you know what papers we might need? I have a UK drivers licence for car and bike.
