Hi there
We're having a few days in Phonsavan, Plain of Jars, but need to get to LP - we have 2 days 1 night for this - aware no flight option, bus sounds long and tiring (and we get car sick)>
Wondering if anyone has advice re hiring a minibus (we are family of 4)? Also any ideas on where to stop overnight?
thanks!!!

hiring a private vehicle would be good for stopping along the way to enjoy the scenery. if you want to have arrangements sorted out in advance, but can't contact a travel agent in Phonsavan, could try getting one in LPB or Vientiane to help you?
place to overnight - what standard of accomm are you looking for?
nicest-looking place along the Phonsavan-Phou Khoun-LPB route is Sala Phou Khoun ~3KM south of Phou Khoun along HWY13 (someone else's photo). more info about it here.

Sala Phou Khoun looks perfect - good to break up the trip a bit

sorry, not dealt with any agent before in Laos. but have seen this agent recommended by a regular on another forum. could easily Google their name & see if any negative reviews pop up.
