Looking to be in Luan Prabang on October 11, how will be the weather and how has the rains affected the area?

Been here the last 3 days - absolutely no rain - just very hot and VERY humid. Temperature in the mid 30s.
Not heard anyone mention anything in particular about the rain affecting the area but others might know more about that than me.
