    While in Vang Vieng, staying at the Dokboua GH, someone opened our door at 1:30 a.m. We were already awake from the drunks down the hall and started yelling. We didn't catch whoever it was, but beware, they need to install deadbolts.

    With all the drunken tubing kids frequenting the town and the associated local punters, I wouldn't be surprised if someone (local folks tempted by the fat wallets, or the odd thieving backpacker) creeps into rooms at cheap backpacker haunts in VV. Keep your valuables close or pay for a decent secure room. Every day and night another incident.
