Hi...admittedly lazy, as I could probably find this somewhere, but easy for someone in the know to give a phonetic pronunciation guide for a few cities I have listed? Thanks in advance...

    Vietnam:
    Hue
    Hoi An
    Lao Cai
    Halong Bay

    Laos:
    Vientiane
    Vang Vieng
    Luang Prabang
    Muang Sing
    Muang Long
    Huay Xai
    Pakse

    Thanks!

As the Laos English words are transliterally described, they are mostly pronounced as they are written.
The french added the "s", so it is generally called Lao, though I have even seen some Lao say Laos.
Huay Xai is pronounced Huay Sai, but with a "harder" upper palate "s".

My Vietname cleaning woman pronounces Hue "Hooay" which almost sounds like "Way"

Thanks...this helps. If someone could answer more on the Vietnam ones it would be great. I don't really want to cross-post on the other Forum...Thanks in advance!
