Bus from Luang Prabang to Luang Namtha

    In January 2010 I'll be travelling to Luang Namtha from Luang Prabang by bus. If I take bus/es from LP in the morning (maybe having to stop at Oudomxay), what time roughly should I expect to arrive in Luang Namtha? Is it easy to get tuk tuks or other transport at the bus station at Luang Namtha, to get to accommodation? Any advice much appreciated.

    Usually before dark, mid to late afternoon. I usually figure 5 hours to Udomxai, 3 to Luang Namtha, 1 extra for fudge factor. Accomodation and tuk tuks plentiful. I'd guestimate fifty to a hundred tourists per nite in town, Luang Namtha is no longer a backwater. Internet, ATM, Airport, no banana pancakes that I saw.
