After a dinner which included a whiskey barrel and a few beers, I decided to play badminton with the locals...big mistake as I am very competitive - ended up crashing on my knee on the concrete surface. Went to the Chinese Hospital - an English speaking student nurse (from Laos) helped get me to the "ER" where a very nice Chinese physician examined me, ordered an xray, and provided treatment....total cost $10US...it seemed to have fairly modern facilities - I saw an ultrasound being used for pregnant woman, disposable equipment - no reusing of supplies which is always nice. Recommended if needed...
