Rather give this one a miss. Staff poor, unfriendly and English not very good. Room with own bathroom cheap but not value for money. Room not very clean, enough space. Bed good but bedding, pillows and towels questionable.Quiet area but the room we had served as an amplifier to any sound in the house, e.g. when a toilet is flushed, a door closed or someone is going up the stairs it’s really loud in the room which eliminates the positive of the quiet area completely. Bathroom clean, flush western toilet. An apparent hot shower, but 5 minutes after we switched on the hot water the electricity in the whole room would cut out. Even with all the lights off and just the shower running the switch still trips once the hot water is switched on, thus $8 becomes overpriced. Electrical outlet. Don’t know about bag storage but sure they have. No internet facilities but a couple of internet cafés in town. No restaurant but a variety to choose from, most restaurants quite expensive though, a vegetarian buffet at the night market is the best value for money you’ll get in Luang Prabang. Don’t know about laundry since we didn’t have to do any at that stage but sure they have. No international payphones that we saw but there are places that provide international call services. Laos has no ATMs! You can draw money from certain travel agencies but a bit expensive and they only give you Kip which is difficult to exchange for other currencies.
