Can anyone tell me what the weather along the East coast of Malaysia is like from end of July through till beginning of August?
Hoping to go to Perhentian Islands but obviously not if there's going to be big monsoons!
Thanks,
Emma

Usually dead set dry season - might get the occasional thunderstorm but otherwise sunshine-sunshine. Note July-August tends to be high season on the Perhentiands - gets real busy normally.
Over on the western coast it is different - south west monsoon is usually operating. I wouldn't go to Penang or Lankawi at that time for a beach holiday in preference to Perhentians or Tioman.

Well..The climate in Malaysia is tropical. The milder south-west monsoon (April to October) reverses the pattern. there may be little thunderstorm but not for long..go on and have fun..
