Hi everybody,
My first post here:)
I am planning my journey for 2011 now, collecting bits and pieces of information.
I would like to travel between Kuching and Kota Kinabalu, I read that the distance is over 1000 km and the travel on Borneo is quite slow. But because I am not a big fan of flying altogether so I am considering going by bus and breaking down the trip into a few little trips, if it is worth the time and effort. Is there much to see on between these two cities? (I am interested in hostel-type budget travel, national parks etc.) Any suggestions welcome:)

i went to kuching and kk in 2009 although by air but in between the 2 places is MIRI, it has an interesting national park as well as Museum for the 1st place oil was found in malaysia
