Hello everyone,
Im going to Malaysia soon, coming from Thailand.
I'm kind of an overland traveler, so as long as possible,
i try to avoid the plain. So has anyone a good site for Bus or Train scedules
and distances? Or any good advices for Public Transportation in Malaysia ?
The first task will be to get from Thailand to Kuala Terengganu...any advice?
Oh and is there something special to see in Kuala Terengganu?
hi fueenzi,
Probably the last town you will want to visit in the south thailand is Hat Yai. From here you can get to Kuala Terengganu by train. Its the easiest and probably safest too. Advice is that do not ravel further south on your own by local bus or tuk tuk as the southern section of patani and narathiwat is quite tense. The train will pass through these provinces and into the malaysia.
Suggest get off the train at wakaf baru (kelantan) and take local bus at Kota Baru to Kuala Terengganu. That is easy.
