Fly from Kuala Lumpur to Sandakan on budget airline AirAsia. Seeing the pygmy elephants/orang isn't guaranteed of course, so allot at least 3 days for getting to the jungle lodge, trekking/river-cruise, then getting back to Sandakan. If you book 5 days you'll have plenty of time for a river safari and visiting the orang sanctuary.

Then when you're finished fly back to Kuala Lumpur for a flight to Cambodia.

Hi I want to go to Borneo just to see orangutans and pygmy elephants.
How long would you suggest for this? My husband isnt keen to go so I would prefer just to do these things then head out to cambodia
