Can anyone recommend a well located place to stay in Kuching that is the equivalent of $25US or less a night? Looking for a room for two people (not dorn) with bathroom. If we have to, we can go wtih a room with shared bathroom.
Anywhere that's well located so that we can explore the city for a few days, catch bus to Semmengoh and Bako, and eventually ride to airport.
Thanks.

try the Tune Hotel - sometimes they have promos and it'll be under USD25 nightly.
Otherwise Brookes Terrace has cheap private rooms with attached bathrooms. Another place I've stayed in Kuching was the Borneo Seahare. It's a really small hostel and there were only 2 other people there, so it was just like having a private bathroom / living room / kitchen.

Thanks. Should I worry too much about finding a room in a "convenient location" or is Kuching small enough that no matter where I am, stuff is all in walking distance?
I guess the most important for us would be close enough to walk to cheap food stalls, lol.
