We like to wander markets at night....everything knick knacks, to food hawker stalls, the local wares. I read about the Gaya St. market in KK on Sundays. Are there other markets in KK, Kuching, KL we should check out as we wander around at night? Not looking to buy anything in particular, just like to pass the time people watching, getting a cheap beer, cheap food, and try our hand at bargaining for the odd doo-dad.

Hi Amz155;
Not too sure about KK or Kuching.
But in KL, you can check out the Petaling Street market in Chinatown. There you will find all the knock off goods for sale, as well as other random goods. During the daytime, or early evenings, another place you can check out is the Central Market, which sells local Malaysian handicrafts and souvenirs. For beer, you can drink and eat some bbq seafood at Jalan Alor food street in Bukit Bintang area.
