KL to Perhentian Kecil (Small Perhentian

    I would like to head to the perhential islands. Currently Im in KL and would like to know what transport options I have to get me to the east coast in order to take a boat over to the islands?

    Any info would be great folks.

    Hi Chico elnino,
    Options are
    1. By air to Kota Baru (Pengkalan Chepa), then its only 60 km taxi or bus ride to the Pier at Kuala Besut..
    2. Express Coaches from Kuala Lumpur to Jerteh (Besut) ( 7 hours), then hop into a taxi for 12 km ride to the Pier at Kuala Besut.
    3. The jungle train from Kuala Lumpur to Machang (app 10 hours), then take a bus or taxi to Kuala Besut .
