If you are going to pay a visit to Malaysia and will come to Sarawak for the coming October. Then, should not miss out the Baram Regatta in Marudi. This traditional event will be held this year on 1st and 2nd Oct. How to get to Marudi?
1/ Express boat at Kuala Baram Jetty, Miri
2/ 4 Wheels drive (experience simple rally driveway)
3/ Plane from Miri airport
Marudi is a historical and peaceful town. The chinese temple has an age of 110 years old. Besides, the hidden Gudan Waterfall and longhouses are pearls that not being visited by many tourists. From Marudi, you can take boat to Mulu which is a totally different experience within plane. Also, can catch flight from here to Bario but book the flight early.
