Hi,
I am going to be in phuket Thailand in January and will be heading to Singapore. We have a week to get there. Could anyone recommend the best way to go and places to see off the beaten track.
We would love to do the jungle train and stop off along the way would it be to far to get to and enjoy properly in our short time? http://wikitravel.org/en/Jungle_Railway#b
Would any one be able to recommend something similar on the west coast?

the jungle train is very far from the Phuket - Singapore path and not half as exotic as others want to make it. and the schedule usually not convenient as often during night-time.
if you are determined to do that, you would have to cross all of Southern Thailand (through unsafe provinces such as Narathiwat and Yala) to get to Kota Bahru and from there start your trip southwards so you are traveling in the proper direction towards Singapore.
