A recent e-mail received from travelfish mentioned cheap flights with AirAsia. Can anyone who took advantage of one of these flights answer these questions for me. Was the price on the website the total real price you paid or were there add-ons such as meals, additional luggage costs incurred by low baggage allowance, departure or arrival taxes, etc? Also, from the website it shows the window to purchase these will end soon. Is anyone aware whether there may be similar sales in the future?

AirAsia's rates are always pretty low, but they tend to have a sale about once a month.
The price on the website is for the flight, taxes, and admin. fees. A couple airports have additional departure taxes that must be paid in cash at the airport (ex. Siam Reap, Bali), but it always makes this really clear on the Air Asia website.
The price doesn't include a meal or drink, but they can be purchased on board and prices are reasonable. Adding a piece of checked luggage is about $10 USD. I fly AirAsia all the time and love it! Sometimes it's even cheaper than taking a bus or train.

I agree with idreamofdurian. Prices are extremely reasonable, and the earlier you buy, the cheaper it is. I flew from Bali (Denpasar) to Kuala Lumpur for only $20 because I knew I had a connecting flight and booked a ways in advance. They are extremely well organised, too. Their website always lists the specials of the moment.
