Please advise me on the best budget accomidations that are decent and quiet and not too far from Manilla airport. I will arrive at 12:30 Am at airport. Also does anybody run free shuttles from airport?
Thanks,
Shannon

Hmmmmm.......the big hotel chains have shuttles/airport pickups but I am not sure if the smaller pensionnes/hostels do.
You should check out the Friendly's Guesthouse and the Malate Pensionne. Malate is not that far from the airport. Probably 20 minutes away without traffic. Regular taxi fare will be about 120 pesos. Tell the cabbie to pass through Roxas boulevard. There is no need to pass through the side streets at that time of night.

Here are their respective websites

There is another place even closer to the airport

AFAIK, you need to be an HI member to book here.
I've never stayed in any of these places.

Hi!
I did a little more digging around. There might be two better alternatives.

Ohh.. I forgot to add, of the two newer alternatives, Our Melting Pot is a lot closer to the airport than Red Carabao.

Hi!
If you are alone check out the:

If you are travelling with someone:

It will probably be cheaper for you to just get a taxi (even the expensive official airport taxi) rather than ask for airport pickup. At the Cebu airport, once you leave the arrivals area, look for the stairs that go up to the departures area and grab a cab that just dropped someone off. The hostel should give you an estimate of the price and add a little tip for the driver.
