Hi everyone
I am looking at spending time around Long Beach after my Tao Phillipines trip. Information is slim on the ground, which to me signals a good sign, but does anyone have any recommendations of places I can stay - shall I just turn up?

hi there paul.you might want to check out the picardal's place in town in front of the market.they have hillside treehouses for abt 10bucks /nt.long beach is right next to this quaint seaside village.good luck!! cc

they usually have rooms available lean season. bookings are possible thru personal contacts. expect rustic set-up and if lucky an invitation to a home-cooked dinner fr your landlord. bus from el nido to san vicente takes abt 3-4 hrs. a short motorbike ride from san vicente to long beach and back will cost abt P200.

Thanks! Do you recommend the area as a place to stay in, in general? My plan was a couple of days in Coron once landed, then Tao Phillipines, then a couple in El Nido, then about 4 days or so a bit further south (somewhere, Long Beach was my first idea) before flying back to Manila from Puerto Princesa

sounds like you have it all mapped out. try to squeeze in sabang (underground river) before you get to pps (check out la terasse or gypsy lair* for food* &drinks). cheers zen !!

zenpmd, have a look at Port Barton. Its near the Underground River but I am told very remote place. I have had 2 friends go there and they have loved it because of its isolation, I have been checking it out now for 6 years but haven't made it there yet. You can find a little info on the net about the place, just look hard and you can come up with some interesting info. I think it would be a great place to visit now, as when San Vincete takes of, it wont be that Natural anymore. Have a great trip Bro.

I've been to palawan and everything is beautiful and awesome, and there is nothing more to ask. Sample pictures for your preview Palawan El Nido pictures I want to go back if i have budget! but i believe that is a one time trip. no money for now. I will greatly suggest this place, the place is like a photoshop in reality

Hey CC
Too late! I am back in the UK now, sadly. Palawan was incredible. Everyone there has a lucky life.
