Does anyone know if Taipei is a good place for electronics compared with Singapore?

Am not familiar with Taiwan, but Singapore has the best prices for Camera outside of HongKong.
Cathay photo is one of the most reputable shops, whilst Alan photo has the most competitive prices in Singapore.

Actually, I work in Singapore and I know of Cathay and Alan photo.
I have a business trip to Taiwan in May, so I was wondering if prices over there are more reasonable. If so, I will delay my camera purchase for the trip.
