For those travelling with kids, Singapore is a fabulous place! I know my two loved it. It is easy to get around by public transport, and it is small and manageable. It is super clean, of course. We only just scraped the surface of great fun things to see and do for little ones.
Eating was a great past-time in itself -loved the hawker centres, particularly the chicken rice, and trying new noodle dishes. Some of the wonderful places we enjoyed: Singapore Zoo - fantastic (we saved the Night Safari for another time, as the kids were exhausted from all the fun. But it would be great next time). Make sure you take swimmers - there is a great kids playground and water play area - also found at Jurong Bird Park.
Jurong Bird Park - excellent day out for everyone, so much to see, really well done.
Perakanan Museum - has good kids section - better for school age kids rather than toddlers, though.
Duck Tour of Singapore - a tour in an amphibious watercraft on both land and river, interesting and fun.
Singapore Flyer - a wonderful birdseye view of Singapore
Gardens By the Bay - amazing Super trees
Sentoza - Has Universal Studios with rides and all sorts for kids
we only scratched the surface, feel free to add your own fun things for families and kids. My family can't wait to go again!

Thanks for the report Alison
I used to hate going to Singapore until we had kids -- now I see the appeal far more -- pricey though.

It's definitely a great place for children to play and for the entire family to bond.
