I'm planning to visit Singapore in March for a week and I need some help to look for a backpacker's hotel. I will be alone and have a budget of less than $20 USD a day. I don't do advance booking in my travels so I just hope to find one when I arrive there. Is this fine for me?

hello there!
you can check out HABITAT hostel. i have stayed there last september. its just a few minutes walk to ORCHARD Road. very accessible and clean. although the common toilet and shower can get a little messy especially at night...

Thanks for your input. I feel I would raise my budget between 30-40USD. Do you have any tip about taxis from the airport?
