Hi - can anyone offer advice please. I am travelling to Phuket early June with my wife. We fly from London and transit through Bangkok airport. Very concerned about the ensuing trouble in Bangkok and closure of British Embassy. Considering changing our plans to another destination outside of Thailand. Can anyone offer advice please. Many thanks.

The trouble has been limited to Bangkok so far. You shouldn't have any problems in the southern islands, but do keep up to date with the news!

Hi- I am a solo traveller travelling to Phuket from 1st-12th June 2010 for the first time. Was wondering if anyone else is in the same boat and wanted to meet up, share stories etc in the time that i'm there. Will be staying quite close to Karon Beach. Let me know.
