Just noticed this news story on the BBC website - http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/asia_pacific/10427064.stm.
It appears two boats collided late last night ferrying people to/from Koh Pha Ngan. Reports indicate 40 injured and 2 people missing.

According to this ABC report one of the boats was the same one involved in a crash in 2005 that saw 15 people killed... Very concerning.
