I have all fish and seafood allergies, do you think its a good idea to travel thailand and are there many other types of food to eat? thanks.

I have allergies at all shell fish and HATE all other fish. I was fine in Thailand. But I also, didn't any of the Thai food (I have enough different allergies that I don't eat it, if I don't know what’s in it). I ate lot of pastas and pizzas. I just told people that I was vegetarian and that I didn't eat any meat. I found there was a lot of vegetarian food because of the Buddhist monks. I think you should be fine, as long as you are careful. And if the worst should happen, I know from experience that Thailand has great hospitals.

Does your allergy extend to fish sauce? if so I suggest you get someone to write you a note in Thai saying you are allergic to fish sauce, as Thais cook with it ALL the time.
