Ok my friend and I fly into HCMC 11/29 and want to travel thru the Mekong on the way to PP but am confounded by the posts and tours. Some posts say independently can be done over a couple of days for ~$50 US but tours priced at 4 times that. We have time to play with and am not trying to do this on a shoestring but am trying to avoid tourist trap like tours but ensure we can actually coordinate transport & accommodations as well as actual touring on our own during The relative high season. Head spinning pls help! Sry wrong forum!
