SIem Reap to Trat via Ban Pakard

    Travelling with friend from Siem reap to tray in 5 weeks. Can anyone explain the benefits of going thru poipet rather than ban pakard? Appears the later is the closest crossing so why travel hours out of the way to poipet?

    Siem Reap to Trat means you're probably going to Koh Chang. There are minivans which go direct to the island. You leave SR in the morning and in the late afternoon the van drops you off at your resort on KC. Price is around 1000 THB per person....no need to go to Trat (sleepy little city, nothing interesting to see anyway)
