If I'm not mistaken, this bus departs from Morchit around 7pm. I'd like to know how amenable they are to buying tickets a few days before departure — when I tried to buy a ticket to Aranyaprathet once they told me to come a day before, or 2 hours before the bus leaves — but as I'm intending to head for the bus right after landing in Bangkok, I'd like to know if it's possible for friends to pick up a ticket a few days before just so I know I have a confirmed ticket.
I have never done this crossing before. If the bus deposits me in Chiang Khong around 7am or 8am, then I should technically have more than enough time to catch most of the slow or fast boats departing from Huay Xai, right?
