Getting ideas for a month traveling about Thailand and wondered if anyone has suggestions for finding lodging on Kho Pha Ngan for the full moon party in January. Do I need reservations or can I get there a couple days early and find something? Any suggestions on where to stay? I've read high recommendations for Seaview but they don't take reservations. Thanks!

Hi creative guy,
This story on to/not to reserve a room for the FMP is a good place to start.
For January I'd suggest getting onto the island well before the party, or booking in advance. Remember also that you need not stay on Haad Rin -- all beaches will run transport to the beach for the party.

Thanks! I wasn't aware of the transport system. I'll check out other places to stay and still be able to enjoy the celebration.
