Does anybody knows if DINERS Credit Cards are widely accepted in Thailand?

No they are not. Visa card (3% commission) and Mastercard (4% commission) are pretty much it. American Express also no dice.

Slight clarification since I saw the Diners Club logo at a couple banks today.

Diners Club cards can be used at some Thai ATMs, e.g. Bank of Ayudhya, Thai Military Bank, and UOB. (and yes AMEX works at several others). Search for others here: http://www.dinersclubcash.com/locator/search.html

So might not be a good idea for daily purchases but you can at least get cash from ATMs.
