I'm wondering how I would get from Koh Phangan to Khao Sok? Can I be there in one day? Also we're thinking of staying there Jan 5 to 7 - are two days enough to explore this part? Any recommendation for places to stay?

There are buses from Surat Thani to Khao Sok. The journey is anywhere between 1-2 hours. You want to get a Phuket bound bus that goes through Khao Sok. The last onegoing this route leaves at 2:30pm so in order to catch this bus you will have to get the first ferry at 7am.
