I am in Chiang Mai & would like to hire a car & driver for a day to take me to some of the outlying villages to do a bit of shopping. Does anyone know where I might find one & what I could expect to pay for 4-6 hours?

Good to hear you've got it organised. I have a personal guide/driver but he's booked solid for the next week or so. FYI a day driving around to Bo Sang , Sankamphaeng, Ban Tawai, etc. for shopping should go for around 700-800 baht.

Hi Captain Bob, my friend and I would like to hire your personal driver on 29 and 30 January 2013. We plan to be in Ban Tawai the whole 2 days for shopping. Please let me know if your driver, with car, is available and the rates. Does your driver speak English and would he be able to act as our translator?
