Hallo,
can anyone give me a detailed advice how to get from Huahin to the Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park? There are for sure some organised tours from Huahin (?) including fees etc. But is it possible to get there by public transport? Train/bus? And what is the best part to enter the park? We need to get the same evening back to Huahin to catch the bus/boat to Koh Tao next day... Thanks for your info!

Khao Sam Roi Yot is on a relatively remote coastal road well away from the highway and railway. I went by motorbike and never saw any sort of public transport. Looks like you'd need to do likewise or hire a moto taxi, or take a songtaew from Pranburi into the park then get around on foot. See http://www.thaibirding.com/locations/west/ksry.htm

Thanks Bob for your response. To Pranburi it will not be difficult to get and what I saw by Lonely Planet, it`s possible to get with songtaew to the park from Pranburi. Just wanted to be sure someone knows maybe better. We will see. Thanks for this handy link. Hopefully I will see some of these species

Hi Guys,
I'm living in Bangkok and like to escape the city once in a while. Hua Hin is for me the perfect getaway, within a close proximity to Bangkok (3 hours drive). Most people will spend their days leisurely at the beach. But there is much more things to see and do in and around Hua Hin area. Last week, I've been on a bicycle tour with Memoirs Of Asia (www).memoirsofasia(dot)com. Excellent quality biking tours with a strong focus on culture and nature. There were enough stops on the way to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery.
For more info, please visit their website; www(dot)memoirsofasia(dot)com
Cheers,
G

Hello,
We think the best way to access to Sam Roi Yod is to rent a motorbike in Pran Buri and then going by foot untils caves. We invite you to watch our videos about Sam Roi Yod and Pran Burio on our blog:
