Hi
I'm planning to head down to Nakhon Si Thammarat and Phattalung from Bangkok. Can anyone tell me what's available in terms of transport (train/boat/plane?) to get there?
thanks :-)

Hi dylanone,
You are probably best served taking the train. There are a couple of daily overnight trains from Bangkok that terminate in Nakhon Si Thammarat. If you can afford it, splurge on a first class sleeper compartment for the trip. No matter if you go first or second class, remind the stewards a few times that you are getting off in Nakhon Si Thammarat and not Surat Thani. Otherwise, they'll just assume you are taking the train to Samui Island and wake you up much earlier than necessary. Cheers.
