Incredible photo gallery on the Dhammakaya

    Foreign Policy has a fabulous photo gallery of the Dhammakaya - what thet describe as a "booming multibillion-dollar, evangelical, global Thai cult". Most will know it though as the large spaceship like structure you could see to the west when you flew into Don Muang airport from the north. There's a lot of pics, but well worth going through the whole lot.

    Dhammakaya's also the one behind the spectacular release of thousands & thousands of khom loy (hot air lantern) for the annual Loy Krathong celebrations at Mae Jo north of Chiangmai (see links in reply #11 here).

    perhaps it'd have been good if they were involved in the design of Suvarnabhumi airport...then there would be 10,000 toilets & no problem of insufficient toilet facilities in the terminal building :P
