Hi gang! I signed up to go on the Rickshaw run that starts Oct. 15th in Jakarta and ends in Bangkok. Read about it here: http://www.theadventurists.com/the-adventures/asean-rickshaw-run
I can't get a refund because they have already purchased the Tuk Tuk. My other friends have bailed on me. Can you rally 1-2 more people to go on this amazing life event?? It cost me 1,000 pounds, but want someone else to be able to enjoy it, so I will take any offer. The event sold out months ago. We have to let the governments of the countries that you pass through know this week, so this means that you have to let me know of your interest ASAP.
Problem is that I can't go now do to illness in the family.
I would love for some great people to go and share what I'm going to miss out on with me. Email me at mrryanhildebrandatgmail.
Thanks!

I quite fancy the rickshaw run but think I'm going to try for the Indian one.
Isn't there anyone in the awiting list for this one? I take it you have also posted on their forum?
Thats shocking that your mates have bailed and appear to be lumping you with the full cost.
The guys at the adventurists are usually quite helpful with these things (while they can only do so much hand holding). I'm actually going to meet them in October
I can't do this one but if anyone is interested then I can certainly vouch for the company behind it and the sort of people thst particpate in these things are usually a good sort. You would also be able to verify this guys story with the company itself - ask to speak to Joolz. It really looks like a whole lot of fun and the company behind it really do try their best to give a bit back to the locals - google the mongol rally to see where it all started.
Good luck Ryan, hope you find someone.

This sounds incredible! I fly into Bangkok October 11th, but am sure I could make it to Jakarta in time to join in. I'll write you an email ASAP.
