    [color=rgb(51, 51, 51)]hey,

    I was wondering if anyone could give some remarks on the following itinerary for thailand - laos
    all travel will be done by public transport

    we arrive in bangkok in the evening of november 13 and leave from bangkok in the night of december 3

    this is what I had in mind:

    nov 13 - nov 16: bangkok (night train to chiang mai)
    nov 17- nov 18: chiang mai (1 day chiang mai, 1 day karen villages organized)
    nov 19: travel to chiang kong (border with laos)
    nov 20 - nov 21: slow boat to luang prabang (https://sites.google.com/site/nagiofmekong/)
    nov 22 - nov 23: luang prabang
    nov 24: travel to pakse (apparently flight is fully booked that day, _any other options?_) - or travel to siem reap
    nov 25 - nov 27: champassak, vat phou & si pan don (4000 islands) - TBD what is possible - siem reap (only 2 days, then of to koh mak)
    nov 28: travel to bangkok (bus to ubon ratchani + train to bangkok)
    nov 29 - dec 2: koh mak via trat
    dec 2: travel back to bangkok to take flight back home at 2:55am (dec 3)

    thx to share your experience!
