Hi folks,
We've booked into the Rin Beach Resort on Ko Phangan for Christmas / New Years. We were attracted by agoda.com prices (considering it's peak season)
Now we did a little research and decided to just book it, as we've been putting it off for long enough, however, I can't seem to find any reviews on the place.
I wonder if anyone can point me in the direction of any reliable reviews (it comes with free cancellation policy) or somewhere that I can get more info/pictures of the hotel/resort?
This is their website: http://www.rinbeachresort.com/index.htm
Many thanks

Thanks for the reply - I did check out that website but all it has is library photos and no reviews.

Have you heard of this little search engine called google?
I entered "rin beach resort reviews" and found a few. Admittedly not many but at least one from LP and a guest one. Guess it must be a relatively new place

I have tried TripAdvisor and LOTS of Googling - it's bringing up nothing in the sense of reviews, which I just find astonishing.
I still have a day or two to cancel and get a full refund. I just find it absolutily nuts that there's nothing online.
Our reason for wanting to stay there is because it's just beside the pier so when we get off the boat we don't have to worry about getting a taxi, and it's walking distance to the full moon.
Admittedly we'll be on the island for 10 nights, maybe the better option would be to stay somewhere better on the island, and just travel for the Full Moon party (parties) we'll be at?

Just for anyone who might find themselves in the same situation as me.....
I e-mailed Agoda (who I booked through) and they provided me with an alternative e-mail address to Rin Beach Resort. Within minutes I had a response confirming my booking and what room i'm booked into.
Relief!

Maybe no reviews is good news. People are more likely to launch into an internet tirade when they've had a bad stay rather than a good one. It looks nice, but tellingly, there seem to be no pictures of a beach. It looks rocky in front of the place.

You say it is next to the pier, but there are a number of piers on the island so be sure it is this one that you will actually be arriving on.
There are plenty of fantastic small beachfront bungalows that you will not find online, as they are small family run places. So I agree that no review could be a good thing; or a terrible one.
